Thursday saw us back in Batumi, my group of 10 had been culled down to one. The exam was to take 3-4 hours so once again I met up with some Peace Corps people and went to a cafe; city living is grand. I also used my midweek opporunity to go get a rebate on some meds I got at the insurance office. On my way back to the school that was hosting the exam I bumped into the other half of the group I left earlier at the cafe and joined them at the zoo. I took pictures, they had monkeys, you're going to have to use your visualisation skills. I found a Liberty Bank ATM. I got shafted 13 GEL last time. I don't know why and I'm sure it's going to be a massive pain in the ass to find out why.
Friday saw my one class cancleed, so I decided to go to Keda. I was told when filling out the Peace Corps application form that there are four marshutkas from here. That's a blatant lie. I ended up walking to my resource centre at got picked up along the way it what felt like a tool box modified to drive like a car. Beats walking I guess. I get to Keda and my Englis hspeaking guy isn't there. Fuck. Buy a drink and walk back.
Later that night we had a power cut because it was windy. If Wellington were held to the same standard then ou would master cookeing with fire. We had the generator turned on because Georgia was playing Malta in football. This let my laptop recharge and that was shortly lived as the power only came back on on Saturday evening. Later that night my laptop adapter died and when I woke up the power was off again. Without my laptop I just realised how lonely I am here. All my friends are about 5 hours plus away and I'm more remote than the Peace Corps. I'm going to see if I can shift places. I want to see Georgia, but as far as I'm concerned I'm on the Isle of Adjara
