Well I rang America using the phone from the kitchen and two suspect phone extension cords. I should probably specify that it was to the outsourced wonder that is the HP call centre. The voice prompts immediatly triggered a spot on American accent on my behalf, much to the amusement of my flatmate who happenend to be in the room with me.

So after getting hold of someone and explaining that the laptop was shipped to me (which is a lie being that I don't actually live in California) but I was unable to be there to receive it and was subsequently sent back and asking how I could get it reshipped to me, only to be told to wait, then have explained to me that my laptop was sent but nobody collected so it was returned to HP. I went with it, despite repeating what I just said.

So anyway it is going to be reshipped to me (in California) and hopefully I shall see it sometime next week.

Oh I miss my baby.

Still no news on the job front. I calculated I can do a maximum of 5 weeks more here without any funds coming in. So I'm pretty much conceding Wellington to my pending applications. Meanwhile I've sunk a bit of my limited online time into plan B and whatever is required for that. I was kind of stunned when I worked out if I went through with it I could almost pay off my credit card in the first month. This pointed out that my debt isn't actually that high, only when compared to my income.
