Exams are done and I could easily say that exam was the hardest I've ever attempted. The format was different this year as they seemed to not want to examine economic theory but focus more on legal material from the course. I'm on the fence on this one. I take solace in the fact I answered everything and just needed a bare minimum of 40% in the exam to pass, but if all goes well that's all I need for the Economics requirement for my major.

I finally replied to the message requiring me to ring the boss. I'd normally be more prompt, but I forgot about being told to, I had exams and I thought it was goingto be bad news. Instead it turned out to be a one off job paying me my usual rate to go around putting in energy efficient light bulbs around university hall. I guess being taller than most of the people around here made me the ideal candidate. I'm ripping through it pretty quick. The most for one flat was 17 light bulbs, so it takes a bit of time. So far the perks of the job has been some German girls cooking me dinner, my neighbour giving me a beer once I did there place and of course another couch that was going to be thrown out. I also have the master key which is enough to put a weaker man on a power trip

As for the newbies Walter never became. I don't know if I mentioned who I was getting to replace my old Americans but we had a change up. I got one of Gemma's and she gets one of mine (Walter) it all came down due to mine is a smoker and can't live with an asthmatic, but that's fine with me. I was given about 15 hours notice on this and he arrived this morning at 8am, I managed four hours sleep and then had to be useful. I was smart enough to clear out the storage stuff from the room before the new guy moved in.

The guy seems cool enough, he's from New Paltz and he was amazed that I've been to his campus, thus making me feel more worldly than I deserve, he also worked as a vegan chef so this man can cook shit, plus he's not a vegan so meat is on the menu. I took him (Steve) and Gemma to the supermarket and we probably overspent. He made up some amazing vegetarian stuff while I was lightbulbing around the block. He's also keen to keep cooking. Jackpot!

Being the master of skewed time management I remembered we have a flat inspection tomorrow. Doug and I cleaned like this place has never seen before. The mop was going on floors, walls and ceilings. The fridge is cleaned, the oven is moved and moped, skirting boards clean. Before we started that I managed to materialise the vision for the lounge I've been having for quite some time now. We had a wardrobe out there with civil defense stuff. We took everything out, tipped it on it's side, reloaded the crap into it and then made a ghetto tv cabinet. It is a much better height. The lounge is amazing now, we have three couches in there, it's sick.

Tomorrow I think I'm meant to look after Gemma's new arrival so I think this is long enough.
