Okay...

I went in to pay some money to the Halls office. I haven't paid a cent in rent yet. So I walk in ready to front up some hefty money for the bond and rent and even expecting to pay an administration fee and an activity fee, despite being led to believe we were not to pay this. I guess when you use the word "may" as in "You may also get free entry to Uni Hall social functions" you sort of get crazy ideas that it's free entry, seeing as we have to wear the Uni Hall staff shirts. But it's only $25 and if I'm paying I think I may just have other commitments when they throw that annual ball that nobody I know ever goes to.

The weird part of this is while they didn't collect rent, they said I had paid bond when I lived in Waiteata and thus didn't need to pay an admin fee, just the $100 difference. So I went in expecting $475 to pony up, but managed a mere $125. I'm pretty sure I got that $300 back, but I'm not going to chase that up.

If I get $400 back in the end I may correct it. It's a shame online banking doesn't go back too far.
