It's getting cold

Posted on 9:32 PM, under

I came on Friday to a big chill, literally and metorphroically. My host mother was pissy at me for missing Sunday school, which in turn would of meant giving up Saturday as well. I'm at the point were I would probably demand to be relocated, but hell after arriving in my room I rang the next morning; my room was damp, blankets, matress, clothes, even my camera case. It was like a cloud had rummaged through my room and that may not be too far from what actually happened. We had a lot of rain in the weekend, and we're often at the same height as the clouds, throw in the mix that on closer inspection my windows are sitting on nails with gaps all around them, aka it's as insulated as being open. Suffice to say it was a night of shivering.

This morning it took all the courage to get up, we've already lost one guy from my area to pnumonia and he got sent home and the snow hasn't even hit the village, but I can see it surrounding me on the hills. It's kind of circling the wagons. I'm wondering if I just have a few cold showers and just speed up the enivitable.

I rang them to tell them about how cold my room was and to sort out the Sunday school thing, I got a call which ignored my health concerns and they pretty much said we'll give you a weeks notice if we want you to work Sunday. I guess I'll give half a seconds notice before I tell them to go fuck themselves. It wouldn't be as big a deal if there was more frequent transportation, but giving up most of my Saturday, so I can be home to give up my Sunday for a 2 hour exam session, which could have easily been done during class with all the time wasted making students copy from the books; we're beyond that, they can copy words and then give me the wrong answer in the blank.

Still waiting for my birthday shower.
