Well another day of nothing, in case anyone wonders what I've been up to. Well that's not entirely true. I have a bunch of little things I've done that I've waited to collect to post about.

I'm reading the ebook of Republic by Charles Sheehan-Miles, you can score yourself a free copy of it here I have to say, so far I'm giving it a couple of thumbs up. The author has released it to promote future work. Sensing that most authors biggest problem isn't piracy, but more the task of getting attention. To be honest, I never would of read it unless it hadn't been mentioned on digg.

Still don't think ebooks will ever replace print though. Something about reading off a computer screen isn't as nice as reading print.

What else you ask? Well, I managed to go to In and Out Burger. I read good things such as

"I have only fallen in love three times in my life, and the first bite of that Double-Double was one of those times. The crispy bun complimenting the cool lettuces, the special sauce accentuating the fresh tomato, the sweet meet mixing with the salty cheese, all of it coming together in a harmonious medley of flavor thus far unseen on the American fast food landscape-I was smitten. It was the single greatest fast food meal in the history of civilization. Even though I was full, I immediately ate another Double-Double. I was nearly in tears at this meal, it was so transcendentally excellent."
but to be honest I just found it over rated.

I was watching the season finale of Friday Night Lights season one last night. It's a drama about a Texas high school football team, anyway, they're playing in State, which will be played in the same stadium as the Dallas cowboys, when I notice at night they show the city of Austin, as I see my favourite sky scraper from the south (see pictured). Not much to say other than it felt pretty cool to actually have experienced enough about it to know right off the bat which city they're in.

And the final bit of excitement, I cashed in my reward points from Best Buy and an extra $10 and purchased the Flight of the Conchords DVD. Kind of excited for this, the same thing costs about $50 NZD. So I hope to pick it up tonight.
